I noticed that with the For Dummies books that they do not scan well, even
with grayscale and 400 DPI, they do not come out very well, at all.

Is why I started doing the Complete Idiots Guides instead that scan
beautifully. The Dummies books have a ton of graffics, wierd fonts, and
little icons in them, that the Idiots Guides don't. They also have multiple
columns on pages, and a lotof other challenging things.

Good luck.

Bev Browning has written several books, all having to do with grant
development and grant proposal creation. I am currently validating Grant
Writing For Dummies. If anybody can find other books by her please scan
them. Be particularly careful with your setting. Please be careful with
scanning settings. Carrie and I have tried twice and there is still a lot
of scanos in this validation.
