Sorry, Ann, I know this is an old topic by now, but a blank line will definitely not do, because our Paleolithic braille translator will not put blank lines in the brf versions where they appear in the original rtf file.


I think Carrie had the right idea about putting in some kind of indication of the quotes such as stars or brackets, etc.. But blank lines will not appear in the braille versions.

Hi all,

You could use the HTML tag. When you start a block quote, put <blockquote> on a single line and when you're done, put </blockquote> That may even help the DAISY creator because the main part of the text is xml, which is a varient of HTML. Maybe just a blank line will do, and that's simple and effective.
