Hi Grace,

What people do with blank pages varies. Page numbers at the least on the
page keep anyone from wondering whether the page is intentionally in the
book. I, personally, write on the page [This Page Contains No Text.] I do
this so that at no time will a reader, whether the proofreader or a future
reader of the book, will ever wonder whether text has been accidentally
omited.

As long as you have the page number on the blank pages to keep pagination
continuous, I think that's fine. If you want to, as I do, let all readers
know that they aren't missing anything, then a note to that effect is
helpful, but not, I don't think, required.

It's great to have you back with us, and congratulations on finishing
school!

Mayrie

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] blank pages

I have returned to volunteering for bookshare. I finished with school and
can scan again.
I think last week there was a thread on designating blank pages. I have to
admit that I didn't pay attention. I normally put in a page number and some
blank line and spaces. Does this suffice? Or is there a new standard? I
have a book with blank prior to a new chapter.

Thanks.

Grace
