Hi All,
As we wait for the expiration dates to reappear on My Checked Out Books, we
wanted to provide another option to help with the process of books being
released, renewed, and checked out.
If you currently have books checked out that will expire over the next two
weeks that you want to renew, you can email
volunteer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:volunteer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> with the titles of
the books you want to renew along with your name. We will put a "Hold for
Volunteer Name" in the title of the book. We are hoping this will reduce
the likelihood of some else checking out the book when it's released during
this time. When the website update happens on March 8 and the issue is
resolved, we will take the holds off the titles and go back to the normal
check out and renewal process.

I just downloaded a book that was supposedly 20 pages long. On the
checkout page it's called HOLD FOR PROOFER WHO KNOWS WRITTEN HMONG My
Family is Special to Me/Kuv tsev neeg zoo tshwj xeeb rau kuv, but when
I went to open the file, I discovered that it's a nearly 200-paged
novel called Mrs. Parteger's Principle.
What do I do about it? Should I release it? Contact someone? Or reject it?

Send an email to volunteer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx and explain it and ask them to
put up the correct file. I've had that happen to me before, too.
