grind your teeth over. smile

Computer help, Please?

Dear Gail,

It did say cut, but I made it say lots of copies first which got my head
spinning because I had several duplicates and all out of order. Next time I
have a problem like this I should be able to correct it in under 5 minutes
instead of 5 hours!

Oh, but wait. Next time it will be a different problem, Right? Isn't that
how it works?

Anyway, thanks again. Validation 3 is close at hand!

Always With Love,

Lissi

It depends on where the page numbers are. if they're at the bottom of a
page, then finding 145 would be correct. When you cut the text, does it say
cut text? It should work!

  Dear Gail and Tiffany,

Thank you for your suggestions. The step where I have trouble is going to
the place where I want the highlighted page to go. using arrows unhighlights
the page, and control F doesn't get me in the right place. I think I need to
go to the bottom of the page my highlighted page needs to follow, but I
can't tell find to find a blank line. I've tried telling find to find the
page number, 245, where 243 should be, but after I press control v, 243
hasn't pushed 245 lower and isn't after 243 as I'd hoped. If I could
highlight 243 and 244 and place them after 242, thus moving 245 and 246
down, I'd be finished. sigh. I have tried for about an hour to follow your
instructions.

  Always With Love,

  Lissi

You would have to highlight the two pages do a control c to copy them to
the clipboard, then move to where they should be inserted, and press control
v to paste the material back into the book at the right point, HTH.

    Dear Volunteers,

Near the end of my current validation project, I have been stopped cold
by my lack of understanding of how to work with Microsoft Word in the rich
text format I downloaded from Bookshare.

4 pages are out of order as in 246, 247, 244, 245. I tried to highlight
246 and 247 and place them after 245, but I'm not succeeding and am not
understand the help files I've tried to use as instruction. I thought I
should highlight the 2 pages to be moved, but then arrowing erases the
highlighting. Then I thought find and replace could help, but I don't know
how it would since I want to move something.....

As usual, I don't even know how to phrase my question, but I'd
appreciate any suggestions . I really regret not being perceptive enough to
help myself more.

Julie, if you are reading this, your new quote is great.

    Always With love,

    Lissi
