Thanks, Jake for the thoughts. I wasn't sure that Kurzweil would indicate page breaks.

Hi Cheryl,
Notepad would be the worst choice as it won't show page breaks and will not save them either. Opening a txt file in Word and immediately saving as RTF and working with that file is definitely an option. Kurzweil can correctly handle txt files in their native format and probably would be the best editor for dealing with page breaks. You can also save the txt to RTF in Kurzweil if you're more comfortable with that file form. It was definitely good that Marissa pushed for the change to allow txt to be uploaded as RTF.

HTH,
Jake

I just took a txt file from the step one page. I can edit in either kurzweil or msword or notepad which won't show me if there are page breaks. Which program will be better for editing? I need to be able to check page numbers and match them to page breaks if they exist. Thanks.

Cheryl
