It sounds as if you all think I should them in. I cando that when do a
final pagination check. I only remember the one page which caused me to ask
the question; I may have not put them in earlier, but I'll check, as I say,
when I do the final pagination check. maybe I should ask vanessa just to be
sure before I do that extra work. when the pages were scanned the asereisks
ddn't show up

Ah, you hadn’t previously said that the next page began a new chapter. I
suppose asterisks would be redundant in that case.

hmmm. I'm not sure if they indicate a change of scene. The next page
starts with a new chapter and we're told not to put asterisks before or
after a chapter title though that would indicate a change of scene or
subject smile
