Since the stars are in the print book (for whatever reason), I would leave them
and make a note when submitting the book so that proofreaders or approvers
would know why the stars are there.

Ah, you hadn’t previously said that the next page began a new chapter. I
suppose asterisks would be redundant in that case.

hmmm. I'm not sure if they indicate a change of scene. The next page starts
with a new chapter and we're told not to put asterisks before or after a
chapter title though that would indicate a change of scene or subject smile

Well, if they’re in the print version, I don’t see why they shouldn’t be
included in the Bookshare version. Even if they’re at the bottom of a page, if
they indicate a scene change then they should be preserved.

If the print book has 3 asterisks at the bottom of a page I assume I don't
need to put them in the file, just put the page break
If I'm wrong let me know (I mghthave t go back and redo some pages f I can
fiknd them
