Hi Jamie and all,

This is Cheryl's partner Beth, I'm the one who told Cheryl that Against the Fall of Night had some problems.<smile> The quality of the scan is okay, the problem was that at the end of the book in the current version, the page cuts off in mid-sentence so you don't know how the book actually ends. I think the book is missing a couple of pages based on my reading of the sequel Beyond the Fall of Night, which is also in the Bookshare collection. Beyond the Fall of Night contains Against the Fall of Night first, then Beyond the Fall of Night continues once the first book ends. When I looked at the copy of Against of the Fall of Night contained in the second book to try to ascertain the actual end of the book, it looked like 2 or three pages were missing because I could finally figure out what happened originally in the first book. I'm sorry for any confusion, if it still doesn't make sense, e-mail me privately and I'll try to explain it better.<big smile>

Cheryl, I have Against the Fall of Night by Arthur C. Clarke. You had said that the Bookshare copy ends mid sentence about page 250-ish. My copy of the book only goes up to page 159. The copyright page says the book I have is the July 1962 second printing version. Before I start scanning I just want to make sure that I have the right book that you wanted a BSO copy of. Can you check?
