This list is truly awesome. I read Purple Hibiscus about a month ago and loved 
it. For anyone who's a fan of Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart, Purple 
Hibiscus will offer a lovely and poignant follow-up on Nigeria in the 1970s, 
echoing some of Achebe's literary devices and narrative. 

Let me know when it's up--I'd be happy to validate it.
