It is definitely beautiful here and in the areas through which you drove. The blessings of living in this area far outweigh the foibles, those being lousy transportation in and out, but there are ways around that issue. I echo Lisa's welcome. You live in a wonderful place. My brother and sister-in-law live in that general area;they first lived in Santa Rosa but recently moved to Sebastopol. It was sfun to visit them and drive through the napa Valley and visit the vineyards. --- On Wed, 8/8/12, Lisa Gorden-Cushman <crysania@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: Lisa Gorden-Cushman <crysania@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Yet another introduction... Phelps with guide dog, Hibiscus of Napa, California. I have recently signed up to become a Book Share volunteer with a view toward toing some proof reading for Book Share. I have to do a couple of things to my Microsoft Word program and make sure I am able to run the find and replace systems appropriately and can check for proper page breaks and the like. If you will be patient with me for just a bit, I will begin to start this volunteer work. I am just a bit overwhelmed with the procedures, but Mayrie has given me some information to work with which will be very helpful. I am an avid reader and read constantly, but there is no reason, I can’t do some of this with the computer and help out, for me, probably one book at a time, at least until I really know what I am doing. My preferences are definitely mysteries, biographies, some Christian fiction and have had some experience with medical terminology in my work as a medical transcriptionist. I also enjoy reading about animals, particularly dogs because I am working my eighth wonderful guide who is absolutely amazing. I know many of you from other places, and it is wonderful to reconnect, and I look forward to getting to know those whom I don’t know. Sending happy smiles to all, Dianne B. Phelps and Hibiscus
