Hi Debby,

The only tip I have so far is that if you choose "edit" from the menu that comes up when you press the application key, Word will still open the file and you can use the old Word commands. Whereas if you choose "open" from that menu, the old commands don't work. So I have been happily using the old commands and ignoring the ribbon except when I want to exit the file. When you exit, you still have the choice of "save" or "don't save". If you press enter on save, everything you have done in that session will be saved.

Hope this helps,

Sue S.

Hi Sue and Susan!

Since many of us, including me are using Word as a proofreading tool, it
might be helpful, Sue if you'd post your hints to the list if you would or
share them along with Susan privately if that is your choice. Your hints
have been helpful so far. I know a little more about what to look out for
or what to do after your posts. With your sharing your impressions, I
don't feel like I'm going to go into Word 2010 cold in the future if I
choose to upgrade.
