I have quite a few books I scanned into WordPerfect 5.1 format before I got
Microsoft Word 2003. When I tried to load one of these books into Word, I
was asked to insert my Office CD to install the converter. If you still
have your original CD, you might try looking on it for the converter if
Word 2000 doesn't ask you to install it. In any case, at least with the
Word 2003 I am using, the converter was on the CD, so I didn't have to get
it from elsewhere. Perhaps Word 2000 didn't have a converter on their CD,
but you might still look. At least that way, if you ever need it in the
future, whenever you load a WordPerfect document, it will be converted
automatically.
