Hi Lisa. Sorry to hear of your woes. I've had that happen too, and it's very annoying. Or I've validated one copy very carefully, and someone else has validated a duplicate copy very casually, and put it up before my copy. But anyway. I do look at the history, and give the "time expired" people a fair chance, though usually not more than a week. But I do sometimes take a "hold for" if it's been sitting on Step1 for a while. I've seen some of those guys sit around for ages, and I start to wonder if perhaps the "hold for" person hasn't got tied up in something else, like, say, school, family, etc., and isn't getting back any time soon. So, while I do try to respect the "hold for", I'm not going to respect it forever. Sorry if that bugs people.
