Robert, as volunteers, we can submit almost any type of books we choose.
Bookshare is doing children's books because that's what the grant money
covers. They will do adult educational books as well, but no romances or
things containing adult content. Bookshare funding is dependent upon how
well they follow the goals of the grant by adding 100,000 educational books
over a five-year period. We're about to go into year 3 of the grant, so I
think we'll see even more books for kids in the future.

That leaves us to scan and proofread books for pleasure. I'd like to recruit
more volunteers because I think we're making only a tiny dent in the amount
of books for adults that people say they want to read. Our wish list is
huge, and I'd really like to find a way that we can get all of those books
added to Bookshare. We would benefit from doubling our number of active
volunteers, especially if we could find some additional sighted volunteers
who could help with books that blind people have trouble proofreading.
