If you put a few in there - one on each line - then the stripper might get the first one, but I don't think it will get the rest. Or, if you put a page number at the top of the page, it shouldn't remove any of them.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Wha do I do now?

I'm validating a book the print book of which has no
chapter headings of any kind. Each new chapter starts
about a third down the page. I'd planned to start the
text 5 blank line spaces down, but now I've learned,
thanks to Evan, that the spaces will be wiped out. I
was thinking that I'd put asterisks, but would the
asterisks be wiped out by the stripper? Will they be
saved if the page number is above them? Shall I create
chapter titles by numbering them chapter 1, chapter 2,
etc., and hope I don't miss number?

Advice, please

G.Cindy
