Hi Cindy, Just do the images. Navigate by clicking on the images themselves in the left column. If you scroll down through the images in the right column instead Poet will not load any Image Descriptions that might already be in the book and you will waste your time duplicating someone else's work. Merry Christmas! scott From: Cindy <popularplace@xxxxxxxxx<mailto:popularplace@xxxxxxxxx>> Reply-To: "bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>" <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>> Date: Fri, 23 Dec 2011 20:41:59 -0800 To: "bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>" <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>> Cc: Scott Rains <srains@xxxxxxx<mailto:srains@xxxxxxx>> Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Welcoming Alisa - Using Poet to the Max One more question (and then I promise I won't disturb your holiday, Scott Do I proof the book as I normally would, except for doing the images with the Poet thing, or do I only do the images Cindy ________________________________ From: Cindy <popularplace@xxxxxxxxx<mailto:popularplace@xxxxxxxxx>> To: "bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>" <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>> Sent: Friday, December 23, 2011 1:19 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Welcoming Alisa - Using Poet to the Max O.K. I registered at the site. How do I find a daisy book to edit? No hurry. I have plenty to work on, but I though I'd try it as a short while working on the book I'm proofing As far as using it on a book I'm proofing before uploading, ow would I know if it's going to be uploaded as a Daisy book? While there is never enough time for someone to get oriented to a new position before jumping in this time during the holidays might be good. I know that many of you want to extend the Series Captains project to describing images in series. Pamela Hoffard has done that with almost the entire Magic Tree House series during this beta test. In fact, 20 of her books are described and will be uploaded soon. January will begin the public field test. Send in the lists of titles you would like to have uploaded to Poet for you to work on. Be sure you select a series where we have DAISY with Images files. Indicate whether you want to be a Series Captain and if you will be recruiting other to describe the series with you as with the successful DragonLance campaign. And don't forget, we're still trying to make that 4,000 images described mark. Scott Rains Benetech Fellow
