Very very happyI am still in the intimidated stage too I'd rather be bugged that way you know the progress. I have some things to over come but I'll make it glad to see you again and talk again to you. ----- Original Message ----- From: Kim Friedman To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, November 17, 2009 10:47 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Very very happy Hi, Gwen, thanks a lot. It looks like we belong to a mutual admiration society, doesn't it? I have been reading your messages about the travails of scanning and I concluded you are a very conscientious person who has pride in her work. I don't know if you're a science fiction fan, though, given your messages on what you like to read. I hope you can cut yourself some slack, given that other folks on this list are happy to proofread your scans, and must think they're very good. I'm still in the intimidated stage (grin). I'm getting used to proofreading. This means I get to write interminable posts bugging submitters like you, saying: "I just spotted the word "kerfluffle on p. 119. Is that supposed to be there?" or "What is this name supposed to be?" or "found the word Fragarah in the text. Also found Fragana. Please verify which is supposed to be there" or "found such-and-such and deleted it. Went a little farther and found this a regular word that should be there. Went back and replaced word." I don't know what other proofreaders have done with regard to the books you've scanned, but this is the sort of thing I did on my last book, though to tell the truth, I didn't write every day, just wrote when I had questions, and I didn't have that many. Nice hearing from you. Regards, Kim. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of gwen tweedy Sent: Tuesday, November 17, 2009 5:03 AM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Very very happy Hey that rocks! What a rush! I'm also happy for Misha because he scanned the book and gave it to me. I liked the book for it was a very exciting read. I'm very happy because everybody else will be able to read this neat book. If any of you decide to get it, I hope everything is understandable. I can assure you I read every single solitary word. I'm not boasting, but I'm so happy it's there to be read. Regards, a very happy Kim Friedman who feels like dancing. __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4613 (20091116) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4615 (20091117) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4615 (20091117) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4616 (20091117) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4616 (20091117) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com
