Lisa,

Yes, we're supposed to use the latest date, but the
latest *copyright* date. In this case, since her time
hasn't expired and the content of the book hasn't
changed, Barbara Bretton still holds the copyright.
The only thing that has changed is the format of the
content.

Sometimes a book will be published with an
introduction or foreward by someone else, and that
person copyrights the new info but the original author
still holds the copyright on the main content. In the
book I'm validating now, the only thing copyrighted
seems to be the Introduction, which is new. Apparently
the original was never copyrighted, either by the
author or the original publisher. If that does turn
out to be true, I'll have to ask Gustavo what to do.

Anyway, Gerald is right and the copyright date should
be 2001 and the holder, Barbara Bretton.
