Hello Volunteers,
I am happy to tell you that I've uploaded my validated file of Vanish by
Tess Gerritsen. While it waits its turn to be approved, I'm crossing my
fingers. If it isn't approved, I'll dig in and learn from my mistakes
Through Bookshare and Gerald's competent scanning, you will soon have access
to a book which, as of September 10, was number 8 on the Washington Post's
list of top ten best selling hardcover fiction books. It is so cool to be
able to read a book while it's still new and a current favorite with the
general, reading, public.
Detective Jane Rizzoli along with 5 others is taken hostage in the hospital
where she has been admitted to give birth to her first child. Their captors
are more concerned with communicating a tragic government cover up of the
importation, enslavement and murder of young women, than harming the
hostages. The story is by turns sad and suspenseful. Jane, who has been
featured in earlier Gerritsen novels finds minding her newborn awkward and
unpleasant until, in a crisis, she discovers the true nature of motherhood.
Several descriptions of corpses and autopsies aren't for the squeamish.
