[bksvol-discuss] Re: Ursula K. Le Guin Catwings books being scanned

I read a lot of my kids' books, partly because they're good, and fast to read. I also am kind of monitoring the reading material. It also gives us a discussion topic -- to talk about what's in the books.

The only problem is, that I read the books about 10 times as fast as my kids, especially my son. He gets mad when I finish books before him, so I have to be careful.

Oh, and how about these for the wish list:
**** the Guardians of Ga'hoole series by Kathryn Lasky
**** the rest of all the Warriors series by Erin Hunter
**** the third book in the Catwings series, Wonderful Alexander and the Catwings, by Ursula K. Le Guin
**** the rest of the Redwall books by Brian Jacques

Thanks!

LOL. You needn't apologize--grin. If your daughter likes the books so will others her age--and so will you, I bet. I know it's a popular series. If you're like me, and some of the rest of us, scanning and/or validating is a good excuse to read again some of the juvenile books we enjoyed or to read some we've never read. I'm a bit embarrassed to take out to read other books in a series for which I valdidated some of the first ones, but when I'm taking them out to validate--or I am pretending to take them out for that reason, like the Flambards series, which someone else was validating...

P.S. Thanks for letting us know.
