Maya Angelou is wonderful! I scanned 3-4 of her books of poetry for myself
and BookShare and I think Cindy validated them, making sure that the lines
and punctuation were preserved accurately. If you like her stuff, you may
also like Alice Walker's prose and poetry, though some of Walker's stuff can
be hard to read for its candor.

validating Caged Bird. It was one of the best books I have read all year and
the original copy in the collection was a mess. Now, other people can enjoy

I enjoyed the book. Now I want to read more about her
life, since this autobiography ends when she's 16,
just graduated from high school and given birth to a
baby boy. I discovered that she's written a series of
6 autobiographies. The third, The
Heart of a Woman, is in the collection, supposedly
Excellent. We don't have any of the others --just
books of her poetry and essays. It would be nice to
have the
others. In case anyone wants to scan them the titles
are, in chronological order Gather Together in My
Name, SIngin' and Swingin' and Getting Merry Like
Christmas, All God's Children Need Traveling Shoes,
and the last and recently published, A SOng Flung Up
To Heaven.
