I am staff. And we process the top ten NYT bestsellers in hardcover and
trade paperback nonfiction, hardcover fiction, as well as mass market
fiction when they are not provided by publishers.
What we do doesn't show up on the "being scanned" list. I saw just the
other day that the book is being processed. It'll be in the collection
soon, promise!

It's not on the being scanned list; I just checked. I emailed Bookshare
support about this because I was puzzled that the book came out at the end
of March and was not being scanned yet. I got a response from Annie
Volanakis, who indicated that Bookshare staff was only doing school book
requests right now. I don't know what else to think. Maybe we need some
clarification as to what staff is doing.

staff is working on it as I type.

Hello List,
I would like to have the following two books scanned.
"Loving, Bailey Flanagan 4," by Karen Kingsbury
"Good Grief 50th Anniversary Edition," by Granger E. Westberg
The Karen Kingsbury book is the 4th and final book of a series. The other
three books are in the Bookshare collection. I think they had been scanned
by Bookshare staff members. It's my understanding that Bookshare staff is
only scanning school books right now.
The Granger Westberg book is a nonfiction book dealing with grief and loss.
I have submitted both of these to the wish list, but I am also posting them
here, in the hope that someone will be able to scan them. Other people
besides me will benefit from reading them.
I have been a Bookshare member for the past four years, but I am not
currently a volunteer. I hope to be a volunteer, after I get new computer
equipment.
