Hi, Sue. There's already a copy of this book in the collection? Or is this another copy on the downloads page? If there's already a copy in the collection, when you upload the book put in the comments field for the admin that it's a better-quality book to replace the one rated "good." Otherwise, it might get rejected as a duplicate. If you're talking about the book that's on the Downloads page, download that one yourself and reject it, if you're sure it's the same book. There's no reason to take the chance that a poorer-quality book might make it into the collection when there's an excellent-rated book to take its place. Take care. Funny thing is, there seem to be two copies of this book, Tudor England. One of them says good, many errors but legible throughout, and the other says excellent, hardly any errors. The one that has a lot oof errors says that I submitted it for download, and that I returned it on 8-14. I wasn't even a member then. <grin> The other was Kenneth's excellent rating file. So go figure. <lol> I am wondering if there is another Sue Stevens. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Guido Corona" <guidoc@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, October 28, 2004 9:09 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Tudoor England Sue, I agree with Kenneth. If you have been able to determine that all pages are there, page numbers are not necessary. Page numbers are typically left in the book by submitters to assist the validator in ensuring that there are no pages missing nor there are duplicates. Once the determination is complete, page numbers can be removed. My personal preference is to leave page numbers in the book and just to clean up or remove the rest of page headers. But that is personal preference. A clean page header should appear as the very first line in a page, it should contain no misspellings or junk characters, and should be followed by a blank line. If the book had page footers instead, let the footer be the very bottom line in the page, and let the previous line be blank. Page headers and footers will be stripped by the automated Bookshare stripping tool, but will be retained in an archival copy to be used in future enhanced versions of Bookshare Daisy books. There are a lot of books on the System that do not have page numbers which correspond to the actual contents page. Again, thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue Stevens" <jmu1942@xxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, October 28, 2004 5:12 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Tudoor England > > > Hi Kenneth, > > I have not converted this book, just downloaded and unzipped it.
