I tried replace, Cindy, and it seemed to want the whole word, rather than a
comma inwhat appeared to be midword. And yes, it is the submitter describing
the pictures. So, letter by letter is probably good, to correct typos, but
the commas appear to be done by the word processor she's using. I know that
Excel will do it, putting comma delimiters.
But this has come up in quite a few of her books, and my curiosity is
getting the better of me. If she isn't on the list, I may have to write her.

O.K., I'll weigh in here now. Like Gerald, I hoped someone else could answer.
Mickey, I'm not quite clear on what you mean. When you say you have "done" several of the books and that the illustrations are described in words, I'm assuming, perhaps incorrctly, that you're validating them. I haven't read Berenstain Bears books in *many*y years, but I don't think the authors described the illustrations.
Therefore, I'm assuming that whoever did the scanning and described the illustrations--which is very nice of them because believe me, that can be a tedious and tiring chore--hit the comma key instead of the space bar. Those commas can be replaced by spaces probably by blackening only the descriptions and dong a replace. That way you won't have to do them one by one.
It's the only explanation I can think of.
Cindy
Hi. I've done several of the Berenstain books. They have illustrations which
are described. The words of the description are separated by commas instead of spaces. I'm curious to know what word processor would do that. Needless to say, we need to go through the book word by word.
