Speaking of separating adults and children's literature (there is a children's
category), I'd like to see a category of young adult, or teenage. I've done
books that
aren't either children's, which I think of as quite young children, maybe up to
grade 3, and teenage. I've indicated what I think the grade level is, and
parents
know at what grade level their children are reading even if they're not in that
grade. Libraries have Young Adult sections, and so should bookshare. I know
it's too
much to ask for divisions by l grade, e.g., grades 1- 3, 4 - 6, 7 - 9 (even
though schools aren't divided that way any more) and high school, but it would
sure
help. Where does one put books like Island of the Blue Dolphins; That was Then,
This is Now; the book with Alice in the title the name of which I can't
remember.
'Tis a puzzlement.
