I think the list is a great idea. When I get back to Montreal, I'm visiting my Mom at home for the holidays, I'll see what my library has in the way of budget cooking.

Julia P. S. I get back on the eighth of January.

Perhaps we can have a link or a list somewhere of books already on bookshare which show folks how to live economically and eat well.

The list can include books directed at a younger audience as well. Such books include
Everybody Eats Bread
Everybody Eats Rice
The Ultimate Potato Book: Hundreds of Ways to Turn America's Favorite Side Dish into a Meal
Cheap Fast Good
EATING WELL SERVES TWO 150 HEALTHY IN A HURRY SUPPERS PLUS MORE THAN 100 QUICK SIDE
The Laurel's Kitchen Bread Book: A Guide to Whole-Grain Breadmaking

Weight Watchers, South Beach diet and the numerous books on health are also on bookshare.

Hope this list helps somebody.

E.
