Hi Valerie,

I really hope no one sent you a complete book via e-mail. That
violates our agreements as volunteers with bookshare concerning copyright
agreements. We can exchange parts of files, but not complete books.

I think this is covered in the scanning and proofreading manual.
You can go to the scanning and proofreading manual from the volunteer home
page on the bookshare site. There is a link labeled "scanning and
proofreading manual". You'll find a much more clear and complete explanation
there than my pathetic one.

Mayrie

There must be another glitch in the intake software, but we sent in "Cherry
Ames, Senior Nurse" and "The Reluctant God" yesterday. We are awaiting
notification they have been added to the collection and do not anticipate
any problems. Esther sent me the PDF of her scan and I was able to paginate
and paragraph from that, yippee! Having two computers in front of you can
be very helpful. Smiles. All the tips I received on finding a place allowed
me to fix my mistakes that had been self-created in the other book. It was a
great opportunity to practice my higher level editing skills in a failsafe
manner.

Thank you everyone for all your help!

Have a great day!
Valerie
