I agree with you. These errors could be easily corrected now that we are aware of them, but correcting them to me is not worth a rescan and revalidation.

Hi,
These kinds of things are why I would like to ask that BSO's that don't
have to be scanned and will not change pagination be allowed. I don't know
how we would prove that it was that type though.

Thanks.

Hi, Everyone,

I am reading T is for Tresspass by Sue Grafton; I downloaded the book from
bookshare.

In the book, many letter t and letter f are misrecognized as the letter l.
This confusion occurred about fifty times.

So, wait reads as wail, state as slate finger as linger to as lo. Those
are the most common errors, but all of these errors resulted in
recognizable words.

Thus a spellcheck of the book or its review by the Bookshare tools when
ranking the validated copy at upload would not catch these errors. Thus,
these misrecognitions fell between the cracks.

The only way that these errors would be caught would be if a validator read
the book word for word.

I do not think the problem is so great that a resubmit is necessary. I am
simply making an observation about a problem that would be difficult to
solve and I am just puzzling over that dilemma.
