I faile to understand what is going on with bookshare's relationship to volunteers. On the one hand, people such as Jennifer and John came on board supposedly to improve communications between bookshare staff and the volunteer community.

On the other, we have seen few changes since they came on beginning with John last spring. Perhaps I have missed something but people are still having issues with the same things, specifically how we get info about the step 1 and step 2 lists and admin queue in a fashion which supports for volunteer community.

If people like Jill who is on this list and lots of us who are also on this list are having difficulty communicating effectively about matters which concern the contribution volunteers make to the bookshare collection, what is happening with those folks who are not subscribed to this list and do not have the time or inclination to go through all the messages generated on this list? Many oof the messages are to make sure things are kept current which might be kept current with more accurate reporting.

Bookshar's backbone, the reason it works is its volunteers. I know I have said things like this before. It is the slowness of response from staff which concerns me and others.
You would think the staff would implement changes to make life as a volunteer more workable and less fraught with these truly ridiculous challenges.

Have a separate kick back to step 1 list or something but for heaven's sake update it regularly in a way which is easy for all of us to follow. Staff this is directed at you.
