Help, I'm totally lost.

Before I volunteer--I've bitten off more than I can chew before, and it don't taste nice--I'd like to look at the list.

So, where's the list of books?

Bob

HI Scott,

I admit that I'm not the most computer-literate person, but Google docs are not accessible with a screen reader, according to others I've talked to, and
when I go to the link you sent me, I see only 20 listings and nothing with
an ISBN.

If you'd like to attach the spread sheet so that I can view it in excel, I
can work with it that way, otherwise, perhaps someone else would be a better
fit for this project.

Mayrie

Great!

Start at line 560 and work toward the top of the list.

First look for the book in our collection. If it is there record the URL and
the book quality. Please delete any characters after the question mark in
the URL. The URL still works without it. All that stuff does is record where
the query came from and it makes the URL needlessly long.

If the book is not in our collection yet or is less than Excellent or PQ put
a question mark in the cell marked ISBN or highlight that cell yellow.

Whoever else wants to join in on this effort start at the first book and
announce yourself to the list. Next person start at line 200. Next person
line 300. That way the project can be self-managed. I'll monitor.

Hi Scott,

I'll happily take on as many books from the list as you'd like. I like that
kind of work. Just let me know what you'd like me to search out in the
collection.

Mayrie

Bookshare has a list of 600 books from a personal collection that have been made available for possible scanning. First we need to see which of them we already have in the collection in Excellent or PQ quality. Most on the list are children's, tween, and young adult books. With half a dozen volunteers each looking up 100 books we can zip through the list in no time. Interested
in this first step?
