Jake,
I just looked through the Rescan and Reject lists and spotted a book on the
Reject list which has been resubmitted: The Divide by Evans. It's on the
5/26 Books in Validation Queue, but no longer shows up on Step 1.
Not sure if you're planning to remove the books once they're resubmitted or
when they make it into the collection, but I thought I'd let you know about
the resubmission.

I have removed the three books Donna is scanning from the Rescan list.
There are still about 15 books that folks have requested be rescanned,
if you're looking for material to work on.

There's also the Reject list, which contains books that were submitted to
BookShare but rejected for some reason

And the fair list contains books on BookShare rated fair. Before going to
the trouble to rescan be sure to check out the current copy. I downloaded a
fair book recently that should have been rated excellent, it has since been
changed.

automatically. They're built from volunteer input. If you want to
contribute, register and login and the links to add books will become

I don't know if other volunteers validate books labeled "BSO" and that are
replacements for books already in the collection, but just in case.
I just submitted Fool's Errand: The Tawny Man Book I by Robin Hobb. 486
pages, RTF, fixed all chapter headings, protected all page numbers and
stripped out headers. It's a very clean scan.
I have scanned the second book in this series, The Golden Fool, but haven't
cleaned it up yet, and I'm in the process of scanning The Assassin's Quest
from another Robin Hobb series that will be a replacement for a fair-quality
book in the collection. These are very long books and a lot of work for
books I probably won't read. <smile>
