It is perfectly legal, though, isn't it? Is there an accessible copy of
whatever law it is that allows this that we could use to give authors like
this legal evidence? At least she semi-understood. Now, knowing how slow
and occasionally unforgiving publishers can be, hopefully you will have
further luck.
