BlankThat's a good suggestion, Valerie, and the lower right-hand corner may not be where you think it is. To properly place a book on the Optic Book 3800, put the top of the book at the end of the scanner away from the buttons. Or, if you're doing two pages, put the top of the book toward you. When you start a book, the cover and no pages should be away from the buttons at the one end of the scanner. If there wasn't, I often got blank pages as it was looking for information immediately and if it didn't find any it returned a blank page. Is that possibly the problem? I am using Open Book 9 and scanning with a Opticbook. This is what happens when I start the scan. 1. After placing the book on the scanner bed (book is a small paperback-trade paperback) 2. I start the scan with the space bar. 3. Scanner "completes the scan" and then 4. The finish product is "page 1 is blank" 5. I know that text is on the page because my husband is telling me that it is. I have scanned pages in the "middle" of the book and still I get the same results. 6. What am I doing wrong? 7. I am using the setting that were given out this list by someone (I am not sure who) but I made a RTF file with the settings on them and also I spoke to Lori C. about the setting a few weeks back as well as with Larry L. and the settings that I got from both of them were just about the same. Please help *I am pulling out my hair in frustration* Thanks, Netta "Just because you are blind does not mean you lack vision"-Stevie Wonder
