  HI Jamie and all,

What do folks do when page numbers in the book are at the top of the page
except for the first page in the chapter where they put it at the bottom.

Cindy Lou, what I do is this:

(sample page with page numbers at top)

  page break

  blank line

  page number

  blank line

  text on the page

  blank line

  page break

(sample page with page numbers at the bottom)

  page break

  blank line

  Chapter

  Chapter 1

  blank line

  text of page

  blank line

  page number

  blank line

  page break

  Does that help?
