Hi all,

Is anyone out there using ScanToOffice to scan and Word to proof?

I'm using the these software programs to get a scan together to submit, and
I'm wondering a few things (this is my first scan and I want to get it as
close to right as I can):
1. Do the pages that have a chapter number also need a page number if the
book itself doesn't have a page number? (i.e. should I add the page
numbers?)

2a. Does anyone know the difference between a "Section Break (Continuous)"
and a "Page Break" in Word? My OCR ended up using Section Break instead of
Page Break and I don't know if that is going to make a difference in the
quality of the submission

2b. My word file also had a mix of Page Breaks and Section Breaks (at the
right places)...will this matter?

3. Do I keep the book teasers that are at the end of the book? (i.e. Coming
soon from ABC books..., another book by May B Author coming in November...,
etc) Are those the "ads" the scanning tips are referring to?

4. For anyone using ScanToOffice, do you have any suggestions as to what
settings you've found to be the best for your scans?

5. Would anyone like to volunteer to proof my first scan and be gentle? I
want to use this as a learning experience, so I'm looking for someone who
would be willing to work with me through any problems instead of rejecting
outright if I really blew it (I don't think I did, but what do I know? LOL)
My first scan is a Harlequin Temptation book titled "Too Hot To Sleep" by
Stephanie Bond. I haven't read it yet, only scanned it, so I don't know if
it's any good, but I'm pretty sure it probably has some racy scenes.

I will probably have more questions, but that's it for now.
