Hi Mike,
Carrie and I both think this is a very reasonable request and I've filed a
request for the change to be made from a seven day to a 14 day checkout
period with engineering. Will be sure to let you know if it is a change
they are able to make at this time. I know they are cranking down on a
series of important fixes, but am hoping this will make the cut in terms
of priorities.

Hi Pavi,
I think I have a timly suggestion. Instead of the seven day period
for proofreading, why not increase it to fourteen days. It would ease
the problem we have with the lack of reminder notices, but even with
properly timed reminder notices, we are taking more time than we used
to to proffread a book. The seven day period is for the much shorter
validating period: the fourteen days is more suitable to the new
requirement to completly read the book.
