I have the same problem with my book I tried to renew yesterday. The
renewal link is still there as if I never clicked it, the book is past
the date my checkout expired, but it's stayed on my "checked out" list.
So maybe it'll do the same for you.
I noticed just now that there a whole bunch of books on the "in process"
list that are way past the date that they normally would have either
been renewed or returned to the checkout list.
