Hello. I am currently proof reading The Heart & Soul of Change What Works in Therapy. It is edited by Mark A. Hubble, Barry L. Duncan and Scott D. Miller. Submitted by Alliant International University. I have only begun to work with this book, but the pagination seems to be all messed up. Apa books has it at 462 pages. Kurzweil has it at 445 pages including index and all front matter, and Bookshare has it at 406 pages. None of the chapters begin where the table of contents say they begin. Looking at the page breaks in Microsoft word, some appear at the top of the page, but most seem to start somewhere in the middle of the page. I initially thought maybe the scanner was set to scan two pages per scan and only one page was scanned. However, the numbers are not doubled. IN short, the pagination appears to be rather haphazard. I am tempted to reject the book, but, the scan appears to be ok (no major garbled text etc.). Without a major overhaul of the book (which I am not going to do) I don't think I could get it passed the bad old bookshare administrators <just kidding Carrie). Can anyone think of anything I can do to salvage this book? Bob "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.
