When I am finished scanning a book, those ^l are one of the things I try to remember to look for. Sometimes it's supposed to actually be a paragraph break ^p and sometimes it's supposed to be a space. So, Robert, be careful if you just replace them all with spaces because sometimes they are not supposed to be spaces. I would look at each one and see if that's what you want it to be before doing a global replace. -- Jamie in Michigan Currently Reading: False Prophet by Faye Kellerman www.michrxtech.com/books.html
