Hi Kim,

Thanks so much for your comments! I know about the volunteer newsletter problem
and I want to fix this too. We are actually talking about starting the
newsletter up again. Regardless, that old link shouldn't be there. I'm not sure
about the slow loading times, but I will see what I can find out about what is
being done to fix this. It's really frustrating, I agree!

Hopefully we'll be able to straighten out these issues!

Thanks,

Madeleine

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Redoing the Bookshare Website

Hi, what I've noticed on the Volunteer section of the Bookshare web site: 1.
The volunteer newsletter is the one dated in January when the site went live
and it hasn't been changed; 2. I don't know if the engineering geniuses have
solved the problem of loading pages for the checkout queue. They take a long
time to load and if I wished to go to another page for checking out a book to
proofread, the computer didn't seem to be able to handle it very well; 3. If I
release or reject a book, I'd feel better about my decision if there was a
means for me to explain my decision for the folks in charge of approving books.
4. I haven't responded to any blogs on the Bookshare site because I haven't
figured out how to do it. Regards, Kim Friedman.
