Hi.
I think it's a change I have to make in Word rather than in JAWS.
Thanks though. :)

Hi Christina,

In Jaws 12, the setting is under "user options". It has typing echo off,
echo characters, echo words, echocharacters and words for the choices. So if

they didn't change that in Jaws 13, that should fix you up.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Reading Symbols in Word?

Hi. I'm using Word 2010 with JAWS 13. How do I adjust the settings so that
JAWS will read when I type --- or ***
Right now, it says nothing but, if I go back over it with the cursor, it
will sometimes say "nonbreaking space."
Thanks for any help.
Christina
