Not having seen a reply to this question, allow me to put my two
cents-worth in.  The Vibe is basiclly a CD player, albeit a DAISY-equipped
one.  There's an RFB&D version, though I think now they're selling one
called the Wave.

If bookshare files were transferred to MP3 and from there to a CD, with
K1000 for example, you could read them on the Victor Vibe, but that means
you'd have gone through quite a transfer process on a fairly powerful
computer sysgtem.

The Vibe does *not* have a speech synthesizer, though it probably has a
few digitally recorded status announcements as most such units now do.

In other words, a Book Courier would really be the way to go, or perhaps
the new VoiceSense.
