[bksvol-discuss] Questions about a book "Alone, a Widow's Search for Joy"

Here are some questions. These are lines I cannot read.

p.90
makes them say, "PjjricJimejarice and I'll lie down for the count." A 
person in grief is tempted to surrender to adversity or make a truce 
with it. Self-pity is destructive. It can reach out to
becoming a widow is like being pushed into a boxing ring. One look at 
their opponent
P. 92
For a widowed person, this may be her task for awhile. But only for 
awhile. The death of her husband may always be a "toothache in her 
heart," but life expects more of her.
Even a woman whose husband's health is A-l would be well advised to 
get some idea of the problems she might face should she be left alone.
p. 101

Also, if you have a line that has underline symbols in it, should you 
take those out. They aren't actually symbols that will translate into 
something, are they?
