Hi Judy,
You could do a change of ^p^m and change it to just ^m. However, this would
cause true new paragraphs to not be indented on the new page perhaps. Do
paragraphs that end on the original page also have paragraph markers before
the page break? If not then this should work fine.

Hi, some of you (most?) know me from the discussion list, but I've just
started validating. smile.
I haven't used MS Word much in the past, but am using it to validate as
WordPerfect seems to write out rtf files slightly differently than Word
does.
I'm running into something that I'd like to handle with a search and
replace in Word, if there's any way to do it.
When I do a replace to change hard-coded section breaks into page breaks,
Word automatically places a paragraph mark at the end of a page. When a
book has a sentence that runs across a page break, it ends up indenting
the first line at the start of the new page, even though that line is
often really the last half of a sentence. When a book scan has page
numbers at the bottom of each page, it's always going to happen this way.
Is there a way around this, other than fixed it one line at a time? I
don't want to eliminate all indentations at the true beginnings of
paragraphs, as it makes a book very difficult to read for a disabled
sighted reader like myself. smile.
