The footnotes in the book I'm currently working on aren't numbered. There is a star to indicate each, and I haven't found more than one per page yet. My common sense says not to mess with the asterisks--but that may not be the agreed upon way to do them. Do I have to enclose the asterisks in brackets, which seems to be an unnecessary thing? By the way--the scanning and proof reading manual referred to on the Bookshare volunteer home page won't come up for me. The computer keeps saying "Error on page" and it doesn't finish loading. Is that the old manual, or is it the revised version? I know the revision used to be somewhere else, but I don't have the link. I can't find it on the volunteer home page. Thanks.
