Judy's remembering correctly. Enjoy. And the book' history probably will
tellyou for what reason it was returned, i.e., what corrections might need
to be done so that will give a heads up and help you to decide if they're
relatively minor, or if you might need the print boook to work with
because page breaks need to be fixed or something similar. I've had books
returned because some chapter titles were out of order or in the wrong
font ( that would be an easy fix for which you probably wouldn't need the
book; or because there were some bold words on a page that shouldn't b
bold (in which case you might need the book. I now doublecheck every
page before checking in a book) The history also will give you the name
of the submitter ( though you say it's already there) so you can contact
that person for help . if you need to. And if you check the books-rejected
list that will tell you what more needs to be done.

that, Bookshare started releasing the holds on books that had been kicked
back to the checkout queue after 30 days if the volunteer hadn't checked

When you check on the book page and it already has a proofreader listed
below the submitter, it's one of those books. Someone proofread it,
submitted it for approval, and it got kicked back for more work. For
whatever reason the proofreader decided they didn't want to make the
corrections, and after it sat on the checkout list for at least 30 days
Bookshare removed the "hold for" on it, so it's available for anyone to
take.

The book history is absolutely no help.
I wish the book history would list information so that those interested in
checking out a book could easily know what to do and what is really
available. One book is “The Debt Collector” and the other is “Wheelers”.
Any ideas.
