Hi Nimit,

Yes, what Valerie says is exactly correct. Take all those headers out so that you have only the page number on that line.

Hello, Valarie,
So, you mean, like, take that header out and just leave that page
number? Like,
4?
Delete, Bookshare Volunteer Guide, from my example, before the page
number, right? Just making sure I got it right.
Thanks so much,
Nimit, who feels a little better

Page number only. It is the header, but includes page number. We strip
headers and footers, except for the page number.

Hope that helps!

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Question about a book, don't know how to subject
it right so read to find out

Hello, everybody,
Well, first, hopefully you are having fun wherever you are. Anyways,
I don't know how to subject my question right as I don't know what
these things are called. So, well, there is this book that I am
proofreading, and you guys know how we are supposed to have the page
number and only the page number in one line? Well, this book is
confusing. The pages seem to be okay, but whenever the page numbers
are inserted, the title of the book is written before it. I will give
you people an example, so that is how we are supposed to label the
book with page numbers:
Blank line
4
Blank line
Text and dot dot dot
Well, this book has it set up differently. I am going to make up a
title, for example, as I don't know if I should give the direct title
or not. So, let's say, Bookshare Volunteer Guide is the book name,
KK? Then, that is how it is put in that particular book:
Blank line
Bookshare Volunteer Guide 4
Blank line
Text and dot dot dot
So, here is my question, now, am I supposed to leave that title in
front of the page number or should I delete it and just leave the page
number so the Bookshare tool thingy doesn't think of it as something
else or what not? Hope you guys know what I mean... I mean, should I
leave it like,
Bookshare Volunteer Guide 4?
or delete the title before the number and leave the number? Like,
4?
You know what I mean? Thanks so much for your help! Have a good day,
everyone. Again, I just wasn't sure how to handle this type of thing
as I didn't encounter it so far. I mean, I have seen it in previous
braille books, but I don't know how Bookshare wants us to format it
and I don't want to break any rule here.
Talk to you later,
Nimit, who is confused
