Evan, if you are using jaws you can create the letter I think by press insert+4 on the numeric row of the keyboard and selecting either Ó or ó, which ever it is. They are either 211 or 243 keycodes.

Thanks, this is excellent! I can just use a global replace to correct these names. The Ø didn't scan quite right, so that's why I needed to find out what it was so I could fix them up.

My version of MS Word won't give me that using the alt-shift-o, but I can use the alt-0216 method to accomplish the same thing.

I don't know what it's called, but I have it in my
Symbols under the Insert MEnu in Word. I've pasted it
below. If it came out maybe you can copy and paste. It
can be made by keystrokes, at least on my keyboard, by
combining Alt shift o, i.e., alt capital o.
