Carrie, I'm responding to two questions here; I don't know how I missed this one previously. As far as I can remember, all the N.Y. Times books have two numbers; why your scanning program does this and Kurzweil does not, I do not know. Perhaps someone like Jake does. Needless to say, I prefer Kurzweil's way, but it's no big thing. Kurzweil says page and gives that number; it just doesn't show on the version that appears in Bookshare. Remember, I'm only speaking from a braille reader's standpoint. I have no idea what daisy does. Actually in the case of American Wife, the two page entry was handy because when I was asking the navigation tool to go to a specific page, the number it uses is the so-called page number, not the print page number. I hope this is clearer than I think it may be. Now my real question: I have forgotten how I should label American Wife as I return it. I will remove the Hold For Jill in the title, but should I then put Hold for Carrie? Overall, it probably took me an hour to make the changes, and I would like to feel free to do this to other books when I come across other scanos that can easily be corrected. This is why I really don't want credit; after all, I am already inconveniencing you by your having to put the book back on step 1. If i rescanned a book, that would be a different matter. Thank you for humoring my obsessive streak. I have never put 2 numbers on each page, I put just the page number. I'd like to know how the book got messed up. I'll investigate if you'll tell me the book title and author. Thanks! When I check my books which I admit I don't do too often, the page numbers as well as the chapter headings have been there. This brings up another issue that I have been wondering about. When I submit a book scanned with Kurzweil, the print page number is the only number shown; however, I am currently reading a book scanned under New York Times and after the page break, there are two numbers, one representing the total number of pages in the book and the other the print page. Personally, I prefer having only one number shown.
